Members of faith communities across the country will join together to call the Senate on Tuesday, September 17 to urge lawmakers to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
The Interfaith Call-In Day is spearheaded by the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism as part of a broad coalition of progressive organizations supporting workplace opportunity.
Nearly eight in ten Americans from all walks of life support workplace protections for LGBT people. Currently, in the majority of states, there is no law prohibiting an employer from firing or refusing to hire someone simply because he or she is gay or transgender.
It’s time Americans from all walks of life have access to these protections.
To add your voice as a person of faith to those calling for passage of ENDA, get ready to start next Tuesday by texting “FaithsCalling” to 877-877 or calling 1-888-897-0174. You can also sign up now at faithscalling.org to receive a text message reminder next Tuesday.
