Join LGBT Student Leaders at HRC’s 2013 HBCU Leadership and Career Summit
September 6, 2013 by HRC staff
Are you an LGBT student leader at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU)? Are you looking to build skills and connections to better advocate for LGBT equality and other social justice issues on your campus and in your community?
HRC’s HBCU Leadership and Career Summit is designed with you in mind. Living authentically as both black and LGBT brings its share of challenges, challenges particularly felt on some HBCU campuses.
HRC is proud to continue bringing together LGBT student leaders from HBCU’s across the country as part of a four-day intensive leadership and career summit, empowering them to live as their authentic selves and advocate on behalf of others.
**Travel to and from DC, lodging and food are provided to accepted participants.**
The HBCU Leadership and Career Summit exists so that students can gain the skills necessary to educate people within their community on the importance of LGBT equality. It helps build a coalition of student activists all charged with the same end goal: “LGBT inclusivity on HBCU campuses.”
