Join HRC and WA United in Seattle!
July 12, 2012 by Adrian Matanza, Senior Regional Field Organizer
This week, HRC volunteer leaders and supporters joined Washington United for Marriage in Seattle to talk to voters and educate them on the need to approve referendum 74 in November. Having these one-on-one conversations now will help us ensure we protect marriage equality.
HRC is a proud founding member of the Washington United for Marriage coalition and continues to be a strong supporter in the efforts to defend marriage equality for all Washingtonians. In addition to the tremendous volunteer resources the local Seattle leadership provides on the campaign, HRC has donated a Field Director, eight additional field organizers, a Deputy Campaign Manager, a Communications Director and a Faith Director.
The HRC Seattle steering committee also will be having one-on-one conversations, changing the hearts and minds of Washington voters from now until the election. To get involved in these efforts, visit the HRC Seattle website by clicking here or liking us on facebook.
HRC is proud to have been a founding member of the campaign to pass marriage equality in Washington State, working side-by-side with state partners. You can sign up here to volunteer with HRC to help mobilize supporters of marriage equality in Washington. Learn more about the campaign to protect marriage equality here.
