Introducing the California Faith partnership across the Golden State
July 15, 2009
Ed. note: HRC Special Projects Manager Ché Ruddell-Tabisola brings us another in a series about our work with California Faith for Equality, an organization that educates and mobilizes religious communities. The partnership joins Faith for Equality with HRC’s Religion and Faith Program and National Field Department to broaden and diversify religious support for marriage equality in the Golden State.
More than two dozen HRC members were briefed about the strategic partnership between California Faith for Equality and HRC at last week’s Second Annual Moonlight Paddle and Dinner organized by the Orange County/Long Beach/Palm Springs Steering Committee. “HRC is investing significant resources in what will become a model for how to partner and empower faith communities across the country,” HRC Special Projects Manager Ché’s Ruddell-Tabisola told the group. The Orange County visit was the latest in Ché’s tour introducing the Faith for Equality partnership to HRC members in the Golden State. Earlier meetings were held with Steering Committees in San Jose and Los Angeles. Next stop on the trip: The HRC San Diego Steering Committee Volunteer BBQ!
