In January 2014, a federal judge ruled Utah Constitutional Amendment 3, defining marriage as exclusively between a man and woman, unconstitutional. HRC held a Tele-Townhall on Monday, February 3 to highlight some of the key points of the ruling.
HRC Legal Director Brian Moulton highlighted the implications of this ruling, and Marty Rouse, HRC National Field Director discussed HRC’s outreach in Utah. Chair of Equality Utah Cliff Rosky was also on the call to examine how the state is handling marriage.
