Illinois Unites Coalition Works to Protect Friends of Marriage

As marriages for all moved forward in yet another Illinois county, work continues for the Illinois Unites coalition. With the Illinois Primary Election now just three weeks away, volunteers are hard at work to protect those legislators that support marriage equality and are now facing primary challengers.

These phonebanks in support of our friends, sponsored by Equality Illinois, are happening Monday through Thursday from 5 to 9pm. They always start with a great training and all of the materials you’ll need are provided for you. Food is also provided and there’s a good mix of new and experienced folks on the phones.

With just a few weeks left before the big primary vote, we need to make sure we show up for these candidates the way they showed up for us last fall. To do that, we need your help. Come be a part of this last opportunity to make a positive difference in our quest to win marriage for all in Illinois! If you have not yet gotten involved, shoot me an email at Lindsey.clark@hrc.org and we’ll find a time that works for you to help us finish strong in this marriage fight.

Paid for by Human Rights Campaign PAC.
