HRC’s Latest ‘Equality Talk’ to feature Panel on LGBTI Refugees

HRC is proud to present the release of The Road to Safety: Strengthening Protection of LGBTI Refugees in Uganda and Kenya by Human Rights First to commemorate International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
The panel will begin this Thursday, May 17 at 3:30 p.m. here at HRC's D.C. headquarters.
Remarks will be made by the Honorable Anne Richard, Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration as well as Eleanor Acer, Director of the Refugee Protection Program at Human Rights First. HRC President Joe Solmonese will also speak.
Following remarks there will be an interactive panel discussion with Duncan Breen of HRF's Refugee Protection Program and Larry Yungk of the UN Refugee Agency. Mark Bromley, Council Chair of the Council for Global Equality, will moderate.
