HRC’s Chefs for Equality Event to Benefit Maryland Marriage Fight
September 28, 2012 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Associate
With less than 40 days until the election, we have our focus set on the critical work still ahead to elect pro-equality candidates across the country and defend marriage equality in key states.
As we enter the final push in what could be a history-making election for LGBT equality, HRC and David Hagedorn are teaming up to host Chefs for Equality in Washington, D.C., a special event raising funds and awareness for the Maryland marriage fight.
This extravaganza of food, cocktails, fashion and music will feature more than 50 of DC’s top culinary chefs and mixologists.
On top of already impressive offerings from these leading restaurateurs, attendees have the opportunity to bid on exclusive personal chef tables with two of these top tier chefs, who will work in tandem to cook a five-course menu for a table of eight in the middle of the action in the Ritz-Carlton ballroom.
We’re thrilled to have so many of the D.C. area’s culinary leaders join us in support of LGBT equality. We hope you can join us too on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Washington, D.C. Learn more and reserve your ticket at chefsforequality.org.
