HRCF Partners With RaiseAChild.US for Kansas City Adoption, Foster Care Event Today

Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s All Children – All Families (ACAF) initiative is proud to partner with RaiseAChild.US, a Los Angeles-based non-profitorganization, throughout National Adoption Month to encourage LGBT prospective parents to provide safe and loving homes to children in the foster care system.

Today, HRC and RaiseAChild.US will host an event in Kansas City, Missouri to connect prospective foster parents with the agencies eager to work with them.

The event will include a special performance by action/comedian Alec Mapa, best known for his roles on ABC’s Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives.

Several agencies will be in attendance, including the Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association (MFCAA), to connect directly with families.

This week, MFCAA’s Eric Charles-Gallo and the Acunas family sat down with the local news channel to discuss today’s event and foster care adoption.
