It's been a great few days for HRC at Dinah Shore Weekend. The event, which brings thousands of women who love women (and even some men who love them!) from across the country together for a weekend of celebration, is held annually in the LGBT-resort city of Palm Springs, California.
This year's event "Party with a Purpose" provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with and learn more about HRC at an important time in our movement - on the heels of the historic hearings on same sex marriage at the US Supreme Court. HRC hosted an information kiosk at the event, educating guests on the state of the LGBT movement and how they can become engaged, and recruited dozens of new members to the organization.
On Saturday, a "Dinah goes Monte Carlo" benefit event raised money to help fund the organization's crucial work advancing the rights of the LGBT community, and introduced many to the work of the organization. The event featured a concert by the Straight Ally band Karmin at the stunning Palm Springs Convention Center, and attracted hundreds of guests from far and wide.
HRC thanks Dinah Shore Weekend for their invitation to participate in this great event.
