HRC is investing an additional $25,000 in the fight against a constitutional amendment banning marriage equality in Minnesota. To date, HRC has invested over $1 million as well as staff resources in Minnesota.
HRC President Chad Griffin made the announcement tonight at a performance of the play ‘8.’ Chad’s in Minnesota as part of HRC’s six-state Get Out the Vote tour, part of HRC’s largest-ever mobilization effort to ensure 2012 is a year of milestone victories for marriage equality.
Earlier tonight, Chad appeared with Minnesota Vikings kicker Chris Kluwe and Minnesota Senators Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar at Minnesotans United's Vote No Kick-Off. The event drew a crowd of 5,000 equality supporters.
