Last night, Atlas Corps honored the Human Rights Campaign with its Distinguished Partner Award. The award was presented to HRC in recognition of its recently launched global fellows project.
Scott Beale, president of Atlas Corps, remarked “as HRC deepens its work globally, we are proud to call them a partner and recognize their commitment to LGBT advocates around the world by honoring them as our Distinguished Partner in Global Service.”
The global fellows project is a partnership between HRC and Atlas Corps that provides emerging and experienced LGBT advocates from abroad with year-long fellowship opportunities at HRC.
HRC’s current fellows, Jane Thirikwa and Tushar Malik, are from Kenya and India, respectively. They have been instrumental in helping define the future of HRC’s global engagement program.
Atlas Corps is an international network of nonprofit leaders and organizations that promotes innovation, cooperation, and solutions to address the world's 21st century challenges. Its mission is to address critical social issues by developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and promoting innovation through overseas fellowships for skilled nonprofit professionals.
