HRC Phone Banks: Amassing an Army for Equality

photoThe phone bank troops continue to press on in the battle for equality every Monday and Thursday here in the D.C. metro area. Armed with phones and nourished with pizza, our forces are equipped with the tools to it takes to institute change, one constituent at a time. We have been contacting HRC members and putting them in touch with their state's Senators so that our members of Congress hear more from our side and more about the effects of the discriminatory policy known as "Don't Ask Don't Tell." Top military leaders and the vast majority of Americans are in favor of repealing DADT but it's going to take a grassroots effort to inform our members of Congress just how important this issue is to us as individuals and to our great nation. That's where you come in... Come join us to fight the good the fight. When: Every Monday & Thursday from 6-8:30pm Where: Human Rights Campaign Headquarters, 1640 Rhode Island Ave NW Who: YOU (and other like-minded individuals who care about equality) RSVP with Monica (monica.keyes@hrc.org) to confirm your spot
