Holding Hands Coast to Coast: HRC & Levi Strauss Team Up to Support Marriage Equality

Human Rights Campaign is proud to once again partner with Levi Strauss & Co. in the fight for marriage equality with an exclusive T-shirt line that adds a new story to classic Americana: All Love is Equal.

The designs feature newlywed cowgirl or cowboy couples, the quintessence of Americana.

The San Francisco-based denim company originally created the design for window displays in its flagship New York stores leading up to the vote for marriage equality in New York.

For the San Francisco-based retailer, victory in New York wasn’t the end, but only a push to bring the wave of change to California as it battles Proposition 8. The new line comes on the heels of the recent victory in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

“Levi’s has been a long-standing and ardent supporter of marriage equality,” said Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign. “We are grateful for their continued commitment to the LGBT civil rights movement. ”

The cotton-blend T-shirts are made in the USA and come in sizes XS to 2X. The T-shirts will be sold exclusively at HRC Stores in Provincetown, MA; San Francisco, CA; Washington, D.C.; and shop.hrc.org. Retailing for $35, 100 percent of net proceeds will go toward HRC's fight for LGBT equality.
