HRC AIDS Walk Team Surpasses Their Goal

HRC Whitman Walker AIDS walk

Post submitted by Carl Graci, HRC Operations Coordinator

On Saturday, October 26, HRC staff, interns and local volunteers walked in the 27th Annual AIDS Walk, raising money and showing their support for DC’sWhitman Walker Health.

Cool temperatures couldn’t lower the spirits of walkers and runners ready to put their feet to the pavement to advance high-quality, comprehensive and accessible healthcare to those infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Whitman-Walker Clinic works to provide the best care to those living with the virus.

HRC has been a longtime supporter of Whitman-Walker Clinic and its mission, ranking Whitman-Walker Health as a leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality in HRC’s Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) .

HRC has participated in the AIDS Walk since its inception in 1988. This year, we secured a bronze sponsorship for the event, and with the help of family and friends we met and surpassed our fundraising goal, raising over $2,000.

Donations will be accepted until December 31st. You can still support our team by clicking here.

See you in 2014!
