Hillary Clinton Calls HRC President Chad Griffin to Offer Congratulations
June 27, 2013 by Charlie Joughin
Today during a trip to Utah to advocate for LGBT equality nationwide, HRC president Chad Griffin received a call from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who congratulated him on yesterday’s marriage equality victories. Griffin is a native of Arkansas who worked in the White House under President Bill Clinton.
In a watershed moment in the fight for equality, the United States Supreme Court yesterday ruled to return marriage equality to California and to strike down DOMA.
In March, Secretary Clinton announced her support for marriage equality in a video for HRC’s Americans for Marriage Equality campaign.
