HHS Releases Report on Accomplishments on LGBT Issues

This week, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a report of its work under Secretary Sebelius’s leadership to improve the health and well-being of LGBT Americans.  This document,  “Better Health and Well-Being: Making Improvements for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender (LGBT) Americans” outlines the significant regulatory and policy changes, as well as other steps, that HHS has undertaken to better understand and address the health needs of LGBT Americans. 

HRC is proud to have worked with HHS to advance many of these actions and continues to dialogue with individuals across the Department about ways to keep moving the ball forward for LGBT health.
