Herds of Support in Buffalo

This post comes from HRC Regional Field Organizer Errin E. Doyle.

It has been a busy day in Buffalo.  This morning we were joined by seven volunteers in the Elmwood Village to collect postcards in support of marriage equality.  Here in Buffalo, everyone we meet seems to know how close we are to passing the Marriage Equality Bill.

After a few hours on the street we rushed over to Unity Fellowship Church of Christ where a crowd of 50 supporters had gathered to hear from Reverend Gerard Williams and Father Harry Grace.  The local media also attended and were able to hear very moving testimonies of support from members of the faith community.

Our work continues tonight as a fresh batch of volunteers join us for an evening canvass. We are keeping up the effort to show that the Marriage Bill is popular in Buffalo.
