Hate crimes bill markup scheduled for Wednesday

This afternoon, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee issued an official notice that the federal hate crimes bill, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 (H.R. 1913), is scheduled for a full committee markup this week. The markup on the hate crimes bill will begin on Wednesday, April 22 at 10:15 a.m. in 2141 Rayburn House Office Building. We'll be posting coverage of the markup on Back Story and through Twitter.
