With elections on the horizon, volunteers are hitting the streets today to register Americans across the country to fulfill their civic duty.
Today is National Voter Registration Day, which raises awareness about the importance of registering to vote and has the goal of reaching as many potential voters as possible ahead of looming state deadlines.
Voting is the single most important action you can take to advance the movement for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights, and we need to elect people who will cast votes in favor of equality and beat back any anti-LGBT legislation that is introduced.
HRC provides resources on state and federal advocacy so you learn more about how your vote can make a difference in the fight for equality. Visit our blog to read the latest news on the issues and people who will be making a splash this election season.
Register to vote online today and spread the word about bringing equality to your area. Remember, every vote matters!
