Guest Post: Greater Cincinnati HRC Members Get Out the Vote

The following come from HRC Greater Cincinnati Steering Committee Political Co-chair Steve Newsome, Steve is lending a hand along with 30 HRC staff that will be on the ground in 16 states by Election Day, working with HRC-endorsed candidates and engaging our membership about the upcoming elections:

Late October would seem incomplete without Halloween décor, the Pumpkin Spice Latte and thoughts of getting out the vote.  Greater Cincinnati HRC members Natalie MacDonald, Jeff Caywood, Chad Nielson, Steve Newsome, Ed Wagner, Ron Hirth and Steve Simile paired up with HRC Membership Director Ann Crowley and countless other citizen-activists in the Democratic Party to get people to the polls for this year’s election.  They wielded clipboards with walk-lists, door hangers and a smiling face while working for HRC-endorsed candidates like Steve Driehaus.  After a day of walking block after block and speaking to voters, some more cordial than others, the volunteers contacted entire precincts of voters and got to enjoy some delicious Cincinnati-style chili.  Best of all, Greater Cincinnati HRC has fielded over 40 volunteer shifts from now until Election Day for  pro-equality candidates.  What an amazing team we have here!

Paid for by the Human Rights Campaign PAC and authorized by Driehaus for Congress
