George Washington University Athletics: ‘You Can Play’
November 30, 2012 by HRC staff
This post comes from HRC communications intern Nick Gumas:
The George Washington University's women’s basketball team has designated their 2 pm game on Saturday, December 15th to honor and support the LGBT community.
At the game, GW’s athletic department will screen their “You Can Play” video – a project which is part of a national effort to encourage LGBT inclusion in athletics. GW’s largest LGBT student advocacy group, Allied In Pride, will be selling special $8 tickets for the game to help fundraise for the Human Rights Campaign’s fight for marriage equality.
Those interested in helping advance the fight for marriage equality, encouraging LGBT inclusion in college athletics, and enjoying an exciting college basketball game between GW and Howard University should take advantage of this exciting opportunity.
To purchase tickets, please click here and use the coupon code “equality” to ensure that the proceeds from your ticket will help the fight for marriage equality.
