Gavin Creel Raises Awareness With New Song
December 14, 2011 by Paul Guequierre
Our good friend, Broadway star Gavin Creel, along with his writing partner Robbie Roth have a new song out called “Noise,” which the duo is hoping will spur people to speak up for LGBT rights. The new song is about fighting silence and complacency, something very much needed at this point in our fight for equality.
Gavin Creel is a close friend and partner to HRC. He is passionate about LGBT equality and was with us to kick-off our nationwide bus tour earlier this year. About his new song, Gavin says, "The song and the amazing video that Andrew Keenan-Bolger has made encourages people to get together and get loud so the men and women who have the power to actually change our laws will hear us and do so, that would be more than I could ever hope for."
100% of the proceeds from the song, which can be downloaded via iTunes, will go to Broadway Impact, an organization of Broadway actors, directors, stage managers, fans, and producers dedicated to LGBT equality.
