Faith Leaders Speak Out in Support of the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act
March 15, 2014 by HRC staff
Post submitted by Kellie Freeman Rohrbaugh, HRC Nondiscrimination Campaign Coordinator
Now that we have the individual and business support effort underway, we are urging supporters of The Missouri Nondiscrimination Act (MONA) to ask their faith leaders to do the same.
The Missouri Nondiscrimination Act has a good chance of passing this session, but we have only eight weeks to make this happen.
We need to add clergy voices to the chorus of support from individuals and business from across our great state. More than 60 faith leaders have signed on already.
Here’s how you can help: write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper explaining why you support equality because of your faith, sign up to receive weekly action alerts, ask your pastor and share this link!
