DoJ attorney fired due to lesbian rumors returns to her job

THE RETURN OF JUSTICE: Attorney Leslie Hagen, who was fired from her position in the Bush Administration's Justice Department due to rumors regarding her sexuality, was rehired to her DoJ position in the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys yesterday, according to a report by NPR's Ari Shapiro.  Her new-old job comes with added stability: whereas her previous position required renewal of her contract every year, Hagen returns to her position as a permanent post. On the other hand, Hagen was not offered an official apology from the Justice Department nor awarded restitution of her legal fees from her defense.
