Does Your Senator Support the Student Non-Discrimination Act?
January 6, 2012 by Josh King, Senior Public Policy Advocate
Recently, Senator Al Franken (D-MN) released a video urging constituents to contact their Senators to support of the Student Non-Discrimination Act (SNDA) which he introduced this Congress. The SNDA would prohibit public schools from discriminating against any student on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. The SNDA is an important step in addressing the discrimination that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students face every day in their schools and classrooms. Please take a moment and voice your support for this important piece of legislation. After you do, please urge your friends and family to do the same.
View the video below and see where your Senator stands on SNDA.
