July 3, 2012 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Associate
Several DC transgender advocacy groups have teamed up to launch a wide-ranging “Trans Needs Assessment Survey.”
The DC Trans Coalition, Transgender Health Empowerment, American University and other allied organizations are working together to promote the survey to DC’s diverse transgender communities. Poll topics include access to health care, employment, education and housing, interactions with law enforcement and immigration status.
According to the Washington Blade, roughly 200 people have already participated since the survey went live last month. Readers in the DC area can find more information and links to the survey here.
