Daniel Radcliffe Opens Up About Marriage Equality
February 7, 2012 by Maureen McCarty, Online Content and Marketing Manager
Longtime advocate for the LGBT community, Daniel Radcliffe, opened about his support for marriage equality in the latest issue of Attitude magazine.
“Gay people should have equality in law everywhere,” the Harry Potter star said in the interview.
“If you grow up as a young gay man knowing you don't have the same opportunities as everyone else, you're going to feel victimized and massive prejudice towards you,” he said.
Radcliffe’s endorsement of marriage equality adds him to a cadre of supportive film and music celebrities, including George Clooney and Miley Cyrus, as well as business leaders, professional athletes, and political and civil rights leaders.
