Count Me In Howard and Prince George’s Counties!

Marylanders for Marriage Equality held its Count Me In Campaign Celebration in Price George’s and Howard counties this week. Supporters, activists, friends and families came together to learn the latest about the marriage campaign and what they can do to ensure we pass marriage equality in the state of Maryland next session, which begins in January. Attendees were very pleased to learn about the momentum across the state around marriage and were thrilled about the large coalition working together to make marriage a reality.
Members from HRC, PFLAG MD and Howard County Young Democrats had a strong showing at the event Wednesday night at the Howard County Central Branch Library. The Prince George’s event on Tuesday night was hosted by Paint Branch UU and had many from their congregation that attended to phonebank. Folks at both events hand-wrote letters, signed postcards, recruited volunteers, identified new marriage supporters and encouraged these new supporters to make calls to their legislators.
