Clergy Call 2009 is underway!

HRC's 2009 Clergy Call for Justice and Equality kicks off today! Building on HRC's first Clergy Call in 2007, this year's two-day event will bring religious leaders from across the country to Washington, DC to learn about the current public policy issues facing the LGBT community, build interfaith coalitions dedicated to achieving justice for all and advocate for equality on Capitol Hill. Over 300 clergy members from all 50 states have registered for Clergy Call 2009! Participants will today attend a series of discussion panels on LGBT-related issues before coming together at an interfaith service. Tomorrow our faith leaders will head to Capitol Hill to meet with their congressional representatives. The full Clergy Call 2009 schedule is here.
