June 10, 2012 by Dan Rafter, Online Campaigns Manager
HRC President Chad Griffin met with LGBT and San Francisco community leaders today at Castro Camera, Harvey Milk’s historic camera store.
Griffin was joined by LGBT rights icon Cleve Jones, Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, and other leader including Anne Kronenberg, Danny Niccoletta, Frank Robinson, Alan Baird, and Wayne Friday.
The group is coming together to raise awareness of issues facing LGBT youth in California and nationwide. HRC recently released a groundbreaking study, “Growing Up LGBT in America,” that looks at LGBT youth and their straight counterparts. Following the visit at Castro Camera, the group headed over to the Harvey Milk Academy for a community gathering.
