August 15, 2012 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Associate
LGBT student advocacy group Campus Pride has announced its first-ever national “Top 10 List of Trans-Friendly Colleges & Universities.”
The list draws on findings from the 2012 Campus Pride Index, a searchable index presenting in-depth data from over 300 colleges and universities on LGBT-friendly policies, programs and practices.
The ten campuses recognized for transgender inclusion include (alphabetically): Ithaca College; New York University; Princeton University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, Riverside; University of Massachusetts, Amherst; University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; University of Oregon; University of Pennsylvania; and University of Vermont.
You can find HRC’s searchable directory of LGBT student scholarships on our Youth & Campus page, alongside a number of other action tools and resources for Generation Equality. You can also find HRC’s transgender-specific inclusion and visibility guides here.
