Call for Videos: Straight and Gay Service Members against “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”
May 4, 2010
As we approach votes on repeal of "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell," some members of Congress are hearing that they should not take a vote this year. Those members need to hear why repeal of the ban is necessary from the experts: people who have served on the ground and have seen the failures of the policy. Our friends at the Center for American Progress Action Fund is collecting videos from service members, straight or gay, who have been negatively impacted by DADT. Have you seen how the policy prevents heroic individuals from serving; forces the military to discharge people with specialized skills; or disrupts unit cohesion due to personnel changes? Go to CitizenGlobal.com by May 14 to submit a one-minute video clip and tell Congress why they need to take this discriminatory policy off the books.
