Broadway Calls 4 Corzine

IMG_2034

Gary Hilbert, HRC's New Jersey steering committee political co-chair, and his team in the garden state have been leading the charge to help re-elect Governor Jon Corzine. Hosting phone banks all across NJ, and mobilizing the LGBT community to get out and vote. In the final week Gary and his team will feel support from across the river from the Broadway community in Manhattan. Aside from singing, IMG_2018dancing, and entertaining millions of people, the Broadway community has found another strength: activism. Entering into the final week before election day and with so much at stake, HRC and Broadway Impact have launched nightly phone banks to help re-elect Governor Jon Corzine. This weekend alone, the phone banks in NJ and NYC phone banks generated just over 1,300 phone calls to voters in NJ.  In such a close election there is no question that the efforts in NJ and NY will help us see victory on Tuesday Nov 3. New Jersey is on its way to seeing marriage equality, but we need to help Governor Corzine to make that a reality. We have laid the ground work for success, but now this week we have to GET OUT THE VOTE....and we need your help. Whether you live in NJ or NYC you can help re-elect Governor Jon Corzine.
