March 15, 2010
Julia Kuyper of Hudson, SD is an HRC volunteer who has been working with us and Equality South Dakota on garnering support for an inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act. She penned an op-ed piece that ran this morning in the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. She writes:
Meritocracy is a basic American value. When employers reward hard work, aptitude and talent in hiring and retaining employees, they are rewarded with superior performance and strong morale. Fairness is good for business. Fewer than half of the states provide protection.
