BREAKING: Safe and Supportive Schools Act Passes Minnesota Senate

Overcoming the most significant hurdle to passage, the Safe and Supportive Schools Act was voted through the Minnesota State Senate by a vote of 36-31. This vote clears the way for the bill to go to the House where it had passed previously last session, the Governor has indicated he will sign the bill.

The bill was sponsored by friend of HRC Sen. Scott Dibble and will take Minnesota from having one of the weakest anti-bullying laws to one of the strongest in the country.
