BREAKING: Prop 8 upheld

I'll post a longer analysis from our legal department in a bit, but the top line is that the court upheld Proposition 8, keeping in place the constitutional ban on marriage equality in the Golden State. As for the thousands of couples married last year before Prop 8 passed, they will remain married in the eyes of the law. Check back here at HRC Back Story throughout the day for analysis.
