AU College Dems Fired Up For Phone Banking
March 26, 2010
Last night was another action-packed evening at the Human Rights Campaign Headquarters when 15 members of the American University College Democrats came to show their support for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Using our new internet-based phone bank technology, they fired off almost 2500 calls to HRC members in Florida and Nebraska, transferring hundreds of constituents directly to their Senators' voicemails to leave a message about supporting legislation to repeal DADT. As we continue to apply this type of grassroots pressure within our six priority states, so continues our momentum and the volume of our collective voice of equality. That's where you come in. Sign up now to reserve your spot in the next phone bank, Monday, March 29th from 6-8:30. In the meantime, hop on HRC's Repeal DADT action site to find out more ways to get involved and help get rid of this discriminatory law.
