Anti-Gay Violence in Ukraine

Anti-LGBT sentiments are on the rise in Russia and the Ukraine – both through legislation and increasingly in the culture – and that homophobia translated into violence in the Ukraine yesterday.
The head of the Gay Forum of Ukraine was beaten after announcing to the media that a scheduled gay pride parade was canceled. Check out the disturbing photo below via MSNBC:
