All Eyes on the Senate

Now that the New York Assembly passed the Marriage Equality Act last night, all eyes and hearts turn to the Senate.

With 31 of the needed 32 votes needed for passage made public, the tension is high.

The Senate Republicans are meeting right now to discuss the marriage bill and I and dozens of others are standing outside the Senate conference room waiting for the meeting to end to see what, if anything, Senate President Dean Skelos or others will say about the bill.  I don't think I can chew my gum any faster.

With the legislative session scheduled to end on Monday, the clock is ticking.   If you haven't called your NY State Senator yet, please call today. If you know anyone who lives in New York have them call as well.  The time is now.  New Yorkers, call your state senator today.  Click here to make the call.
