Adopted Daughters of Two Moms Explore their ‘Shared Origins’ in Documentary Short
June 6, 2013 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Coordinator
A new short documentary film tells the story of Lory and Sonya – partners for over 20 years – who adopt two young girls from Ethiopia.
As Zoe and Tsehaye grow older, their friendship with another young Ethiopian, Helen, reconnects the girls with Ethiopia and opens up powerful new conversations about the many forms of family.
Shared Origins is screening at the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival and the LA LGBT Film Festival this summer. Check out the trailer below.
