Today we released a web ad featuring actress and comedian Aisha Tyler for our Americans for Marriage Equality campaign. In the ad, The Talk host says with her bold brand of humor “Let’s save traditional marriage by letting gays marry… because we straight people are f***ing it up.” The video can be viewed online at http://www.hrc.org/MarriageEquality.
Tyler is an actress and comedian, and current co-host of CBS’ The Talk. Previously she has appeared on Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Talk Soup, and on Friends as Charlie Wheeler, as well as voicing Lana Kane in Archer. Her podcast, Girl on Guy, is one of the top 10 podcasts currently on iTunes.
This is the ninth video released by HRC for the Americans campaign. Past videos feature Dee Rees and Kim Wayans, Scott Fujita, Josh Charles, Katori Hall, John Leguizamo, Julian Bond, Mo’Nique, and Cory Booker.
