“Action = Marriage Equality” event Sunday in NY

NY equality groups along with Broadway Impact and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids are holding a "Action = Marriage Equality" rally on Sunday May 17 in Midtown Manhattan. The event will take place on 45th and 6th Avenue from 5-7pm. Many of New York's Broadway and Television stars are turning out to take action. Appearances are scheduled by Cynthia Nixon, Kristen Davis, David Hyde Pierce with performances by Audra McDonald, the cast of Hair, Cheyenne Jackson, and many more. Also, elected officials scheduled to attend include City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Senator Tom Duane, Assemblyman Danny O'Donnell, Senator Liz Kruger and many more. The fate of marriage equality in the state of New York is now in the hands of the New York Senate. Senators need to hear from voters in their district and the Action = Marriage Equality Rally will tell people exactly how they can take action.
