A Visit from Some Wonderful Friends
June 22, 2012 by HRC staff
This post comes from HRC Phone Bank Coordinator Kate Kramer:
Earlier this week, HRC hosted about a dozen volunteers from the First Friends/Deep River Youth Group in North Carolina. They wanted to help HRC and Marylanders for Marriage Equality by making some phone calls – and help they did! Together we made over 700 phone calls, had over 100 conversations, and signed up four new volunteers for phone banks next week in Silver Spring and D.C.
If you know a group that would like to volunteer to help advance equality, send me a message at [email protected]. We’ll provide all the equipment and training, and dinner will be provided. As we move into summer in this critical election year, we have even more need to contact voters in key states. We hope to see you soon!
