100,000 Miles for Equality
June 9, 2013 by HRC staff
From Salt Lake City, to Little Rock, to the Twin Cities, HRC President Chad Griffin has crisscrossed the country in his first year on the job.
President Chad Griffin began his time with HRC travelling across the country to announce a landmark study of LGBT youth. Now, as he returns from Salt Lake City, Utah, where he called on LDS Church Leaders to support employment nondiscrimination protections for the LGBT community, he will cross the threshold of 100,000 miles on the road.
Though we’ve covered a lot of ground in the last year, HRC won’t end its journey down the road to equality until every LGBT individual is ensure basic equal rights and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
Until then we will continue our mission to spread the message of equality, educating the American public and empowering LGBT individuals to advocate for themselves and their families.
