Supporters of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) in Augusta, Georgia, recently scheduled a meeting with Congressman John Barrow’s office to discuss workplace discrimination and ENDA.
Faith community leaders Rev. Terrance Dicks and Rev. Mark Deaton of the Episcopal Church were joined by retired school teacher Liz Johnson to share with the congressman's office the stories of why they support ENDA. They met with two district staff members and reported that the meeting went very well. Many Faith leaders are beginning to talk about their support for ending workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
Meeting with Members of Congress or their staff in their local offices is one way to give support to the Americans for Workplace Opportunity campaign to pass ENDA through the U.S. House of Representatives.
