Yesterday, a Delaware Senate Committee voted 4-2 in favor of the Marriage Equality Bill sending the bill to the full Senate floor for a vote next Tuesday. If it passes, Governor Jack Markell is prepared to sign the bill.

Last weekend, HRC volunteers took to the streets of several towns in Delaware talking to voters about the upcoming Senate vote and encouraging supporters to call their Senator on the spot.

It was great to see voters of all ages so eager to see Delaware pass marriage equality. Several voters thanked us for helping them take action.

We were joined this weekend by a half dozen volunteers from Marriage Equality USA.  Together we had a great time talking to voters and knowing that we are on the verge of making history in Delaware.

HRC Senior Field Organizer Karl Bach has been working with Equality Delaware for several months, helping to mobilize support for the vote.  To get involved, contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
