The U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals’ ruling on the constitutionality of Utah’s marriage ban could come any day and, regardless of what the court decides, you could be a part of history.
Utah Unites for Marriage will host a Decision Day rally in Salt Lake City at 7pm in City Creek Park on the day of the ruling. Together, we will celebrate Utah’s commitment to equality as we continue to fight for marriage equality in the Beehive state.
On Monday, a federal judge ruled that Utah would be required to recognize same-sex marriages performed during the 17-day period in 2013 in which couples were able to obtain marriage licenses in the state. A judge temporarily stayed that decision while the Tenth Circuit hears the cases Kitchen v Herbert and Bishop v Oklahoma.
To join hundreds of other fair-minded Utahans on this historic day of the LGBT community, RSVP now.
And don’t miss Utah Unites for Marriage’s family night at the museum on Thursday, May 29. Join Utah Unites for Marriage, Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum and Equality Utah for an evening of entertainment and celebration at the Discrover Gateway Children’s Museum. RVSP now here.
HRC is a proud founding member of Utah Unites for Marriage.
