Earlier this week, I accompanied two HRC staff to Albany to lobby the New York State Senate to pass the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act.

Today the Social Security Administration (SSA) announced a new policy that will modernize and standardize the process for changing the gender designation in Social Security records.

Yesterday the editorial board called on New York lawmakers to extend protections prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression.

Yesterday, the Human Rights Campaign and the Trans Rights Coalition of New York encouraged supporters across the Empire State to call and email the State Senate to urge them to take needed action on GENDA.

The legislation passed 11 to 7 and will provide critical protections in employment, housing, public accommodations and insurance for transgender Delawareans.
