HRC's members sent a loud-and-clear message to Senator Orrin Hatch that his constituents want him to support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

“To make this the law of the land, I will soon bring the Employment Non-Discrimination Act [ENDA] to the floor of the Senate for a vote,” the Senate Majority Leader said in a statement.

The New York State Senate closed its session last week without taking up the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act, which would have added protections for transgender and gender non-conforming New Yorkers in the area of employment, housing, public accommodations, and hate crimes.
